APQS George Quilting Machine

APQS George Quilting Machine

I am proud to say that I am a dealer for the American Professional Quilting System's George Quilting Machine.

For those of you who are not familiar with the George let me explain what it is and its capabilities.

The George machine is what is considered to be a mid-arm rather than a long-arm machine.  This mid-arm machine is set-up so that the operator of the machine can sit down at a table and quilt rather than standing for hours possibly alleviating leg and back strain.

I personally feel this is the ultimate way for the home hobbyist to accomplish high quality machine quilting.  Another advantage of the George is that you are not going to be required to dedicate a room to a long-arm machine.  The table for the George is 24"x60".  The table can also double as a workspace for your piecing machine when you are not machine quilting.

I hope you take a few minutes to look at the photos that I have posted of George set-up in my personal sewing room.

The retail price of the machine is $6,400 for the portable model shown in the photos.  This includes free shipping up to $500.  Sales tax is additional and applicable as necessary.

I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you on the purchase of a George, and get you started in the right direction in your machine quilting adventure.

If you have any questions regarding this machine, please do not hesitate to contact me.

When you purchase a machine from me and you can get to Redding - CA, I will include in the purchase price a one day class that will have you doing heirloom feathers by the end of the class.

Take a minute to go to the section that covers my thoughts on quilting machines.

Shown below are two photos which show the optional solid insert/light box which will allow you to convert your George quilting machine into a complete sewing center.

Under the solid insert is a light box with a florescent light to help with those transfer projects that you always seem to have.  The insert and light box can be installed and removed in a matter of minutes.  The solid insert will allow you to also do all of your piecing and cutting at one location.

The insert and light are available solely from me for $95.00, plus $10.00 shipping in the Continental United States.
